I don’t even want to give them 1 star! Staff was very rude and not helpful in any way. I recommend they take more classes in customer service, especially the old lady with the long dark hair.
Amazing high quality clothes for a fraction of the price! Still pricy but worth it.
I like the store, however I don't like the snobby employees who wrongly accused me shoplifting because apparently they don't know how to properly count how many items you have when entering a dressing room. Learn how to count. I've literally never stolen anything in my life.
Went to platos a couple of times. I noticed a lot of people complained about the lack of service however, I like when people don't bother me right away. Most of the stuff is very overpriced and is a lot of the same stuff. I wish they had more variety besides skinny jeans and short dresses. Sometimes you can find good stuff it's kind of like a treasure hunt. Unless you're 16-19 though you may have better luck looking somewhere else.
Unfortunately I had an awful experience at Plato's Closet in Fargo today. I came in with my friend to look for some summer shorts. We were not greeted when we came into the store, and no one asked initially what we were looking for. I grabbed 6 pairs of shorts to try because I have a very had time finding shorts that fit well and are not too revealing. The fourth pair of shorts I tried on HAD A TAMPON IN THE POCKET. It was pretty gross and I am surprised that the pair of shorts made it to the racks without being looked at first. My friend and I were in back-to-back dressing rooms, and she had handed me some things to try on. Having worked in retail for two and a half years, I understood the worker's concern was she approached us asking us not to do that. Understandable, shop lifting is an issue in Fargo. HOWEVER, she repeatedly came up to my friend to remind her not to do that. My friend expressed "Yes, I heard you". I don't believe that was necessary. And what would have been really helpful is if the worker had asked what I was looking for, and perhaps help me to find a certain style or brand to look for. I'm sure many customers can relate that shorts shopping can be a stressful experience, and the worker's lack of consideration really made me feel like a non-valued customer. IN ADDITION, while I was in the dressing room, several of the worker's were complaining about a customer on the phone. I don't know the situation, I don't know the context, but the way they were talking about the customer on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. I was quickly becoming more uncomfortable as the workers were using words to describe the customer's requests as "stupid". I understand that especially in retail, sometimes you just need to vent to your coworkers. Perhaps a better decision would have been to save that conversation for the break room or after work. Lastly, as I was finishing up trying on shorts (yes, I did try on about 20 pairs), I overheard the worker say to my friend "You guys aren't getting ANYTHING?". I was really taken aback by that question. No ma'am, I only found one pair of shorts that I felt comfortable about myself in. I am not going to purchase items that do not fit well and make me feel less confident about my body. An extremely long review, but to sum up there was a tampon in the pocket I was trying on, I wasn't asked what I needed help with, and the worker made my experience really uncomfortable with the bad-mouthing, non-considerate combo. I am so disappointed, I have been going to Plato's closet for years, and have never had this poor of an experience. I will not be going back there again.
