I was pretty disappointed in the service I received from Straus Fargo. I have spent thousands of dollars at Straus on my business apparel. I stopped in the store one cold day to buy a sweater. I asked the clerk if they had any sales on sweaters. He began to lecture me on how they are not a discount store and they do not sell on promotions to move product. I politely handed him the promotional discount card Straus had sent me in the mail and told him I won't be needing this because I will not be back in your store. They have high quality clothing but rude staff. I feel for the men and women who worked so hard to build the store's brand and reputation only to have it in the hand of the current collect of characters.
Too expensive
I didn't spend enough time in the store to gauge the quality of the staff, considering I bought clearance pieces and I was in a hurry. However, I think their clothing is reasonably priced for the quality. They sell high quality pieces, so expect to pay more than you would at Men's Wearhouse or Halberstads, but you'll be much happier with the product.
