Classy place. Amazing food and service. Highly recommend this for a date night, group dinner or even solo evening with a seat at the bar. You won't be disappointed. Just make your reservations ahead of time.
The food here is good, generally speaking. The woodfire grill presents that it's a higher-scale dining experience for patrons, and (to a limited extent, it is), but their food is not as delicious as their prices suggest. Furthermore, even though it's a "nicer" place in the FM area, it's not uncommon to see jean shorts, which more or less precludes an establishment from the upper crust. While they present classy and upscale, this is likely on-par with Olive Garden, but a much smaller chain.
Always a great dining experience! We come to Doolittle's every time we visit Fargo. This time we enjoyed BBQ chicken salad, the giant Cobb salad and I had the rotisserie pork loin sandwich. My favorite dish is the Steelhead Trout. Excellent service!
While I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious butternut squash soup during lunch, that was unfortunately the only only tasty and frankly safe dish I consumed while at this restaurant. I have rarely given bad reviews, but I have to speak up on this one. I opted for something on the lighter side and ordered the Grilled acorn with Avocado salad. It looked great, but after taking a first bite I noticed a perfume like taste. It was almost like cleaning liquid. I thought to myself, "maybe I'm crazy." So I took a second bite to try the chicken alone. It was fine. So I took a third deciding to try the tomatoes on the plate... cleaning liquid taste again. Another person at my table had ordered the same thing, so I tried a bite from her plate. As soon as I got some greens and a tomato on my fork she asked, "You taste it, too?" My assumption is that they either "accidentally" sprayed the wrong fluid on the vegetables to clean them or they used the same liquid they always use and didn't thoroughly rinse it off. This is why I'm giving this restaurant one star. Regardless of how good something looks or even tastes here... if they can't properly wash vegetables for a salad, what else is getting missed?
Great food choices, even for vegetarians. Wonderful staff. Good location right off the interstate.
