If you're disabled and have a service animal, don't come here. The person at the counter became argumentative about my service dog not wearing a vest (which the Americans with Disabilities Act says she doesn't have to) to the point we just left; it genuinely killed my appetite to have to try to explain disability laws to someone who obviously doesn't know anything about them but *is* willing to dig her heels in that she's right. However, if you want to bring your pet dog in just spend $80 on a vest as the workers here think it's the be all end all designation of a service dog, not the incredible amount of training that goes in to them including being able to conduct themselves politely and quietly in public.
The flavor selections seemed great and the staff was very polite and helpful, but every single donut is a "cake" donut. I prefer original donuts. It's OK to have some cake donut options (what donut shop doesn't), but the entire selection was nothing but cake donuts with different toppings.
Fun place, and I love that it is locally owned but I'm not a fan of the donuts- They are small and don't have the same texture that I expect from donuts, but if you are in the area, it is fun to check them out- they do have a pretty wide variety.
To the owners: your workers are allowed two questions according to the ADA about assistance/service animals. Is this a service animal, and what services or work has it been trained to do. You can't ask for verification because we aren't obligated to tell anyone about our disabilities because we have a right to privacy just like non-disabled citizens.
Creative fun place to go I'm from ny and wish we had a place like that out here.
Don't eat out much, but I have a sweet tooth. Been coming here on and off for a few years. I have always had a good experience with the place. I have been there a few times when supply was low, but that was usually my fault for being there near closing. Best donuts in town though in my opinion! My whole family loves them and it is a great surpirse for the family from time to time.
